I am currently completing my MA in Fashion and Creative Pattern Cutting and I have a strong passion for computed-aided design which derives from my Architectural Engineering background (BSc & MSc). Last year, while being self-taught in fashion design and pattern cutting, I decided to do my architectural engineering thesis on parametric design in posthuman fashion in order to combine my love for fashion and my passion for engineering. That project gave me the necessary experience to claim a place on my current MA, where I continued with my CAD and fashion exploration; my MA’s goal this year was to determine the perfect balance between digital and traditional pattern cutting techniques to produce the most accurate, quick, cost effective and sustainable outcome possible. I wish to continue building my digital and manual skills and expanding my horizons on computer-aided fashion and enter the fashion industry as a pattern cutter/designer with specialization in CAD.
