My final year project focused on the problems surrounding food waste. I looked at the connection between Gen Z and their relationship to food. I discovered that while many people are obsessed with food, they do not value it, and throw large amounts of food away. I created a solution that connects consumers back to food in an enjoyable way, while educating on food waste. Taste of Waste is the Gen Z solution to food waste, engaging consumers to their food through a surplus street food club 'The Grub Club' supplying resources to educate themselves on their food waste. Consumers enjoy delicious food, whilst helping the planet and educating themselves on the importance of reducing our food waste.
