I am a Costume Design and Making graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I enjoy all elements of costume from designing to wardrobe, but I am keen on becoming a costume maker. I have strong construction skills with experience in modern clothing, period garments and theatrical production. My third-year project uses the narrative of Northern Lights by Philip Pullman to create a theatre production set in 1880’s with the theme and visual inspiration of conservation. After the extensive design process I made a female 1865 silhouette, the top layer adorned with textiles and an almost seven-foot-tall polar bear costume.
