I am an MSc Material and Technology Futures student at NTU, working at the edge of CMF design and sustainable material innovation. My major project, Living Interiors in Motion, explores mycelium composites as a viable alternative to synthetic automotive interior surfaces. I grow samples, test substrates, and ask what it means for a material to be both designed and alive. Speculative design is the lens I work through — imagining futures where interiors age honestly, decompose gracefully, and carry meaning beyond aesthetics. With a background spanning UI/UX, product, and home appliance design, I bring a systems perspective to the surface and finish. My research references leading concept vehicles, including the BMW Vision Neue Klasse and Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR. I hope to build a career in CMF within a practice that believes the way a material ends its life is just as important as how it begins it.
