I am an MA Textiles student specialising in Knit. My practice explores how knit can be utilised in a fine art context, abstracting the expectations of the medium. My collection of works in ‘Where Memory Warps the Walls’ explores the duality of nostalgia. How one individual's memory of a time and space can be a collection of beautiful hazed daydreams, while another’s can be viscerally grounded and painful to recall. My work includes sculptural elements and lighting interactions to help immerse the viewer in the sense of memory. After graduating, I look forward to continuing development on this project and hope to collaborate with other installation-based artists.
