Hello, I am Nina, a textile designer. I dedicate myself to building visual narratives where words find their limit, allowing the materiality and texture of my pieces to translate the weight of emotion. My master's project is inspired by a deep gratitude toward my homeland, Colombia, unfolding as a tribute to memory, childhood landscapes, and the legacy of my grandparents. The starting point of this universe is the written word, the botanical atmosphere and melancholy of Love in the Time of Cholera, transforming the birds and flora into a textile language and combining them with my own memories of the Colombian Caribbean. From these references, I translate my feelings into drawings, compositions, and organic patterns that come to life through hybrid techniques. My practice moves fluidly between the intimacy of hand embroidery and the precision of digital embroidery and digital Jacquard looms, creating surfaces that celebrate the richness of my Latin American heritage.
