Nai-Wen Chang

I am Nai Wen Chang, a storyteller and illustrator from Taiwan, currently studying for an MA in Illustration at Nottingham Trent University. My current project, 《Ali Planet》,is a children's picture book that explores human–robot coexistence from a posthuman perspective. Through this project, I explore visual storytelling through illustration by constructing an imaginative world from multiple perspectives. Through adventure and science-fiction narratives, my aim is to inspire readers' curiosity while encouraging them to experience and reflect on the complexities, conflicts, and coexistence between humans and technology. My practice combines hand-drawn illustration, ceramics, printmaking, and digital media to explore new possibilities in visual storytelling. Through these interdisciplinary approaches, I explore the relationship between technology and humanity, using narrative to investigate imagination, coexistence, and human connection.
