I am a textile artist specialising in print and embroidery. My practice explores death, memory and the traces people leave behind through the concept of Memento Mori. Growing up in Eastern Poland, I was surrounded by abandoned houses, which sparked my interest in the remnants of past lives and stories embedded in forgotten spaces. I am mainly inspired by objects found in these abandoned homes, such as photographs, postcards, letters and documents, treating them as fragments of presence and emotional memory. I create poetic interpretations that sit between documentation and imagination, focusing on atmosphere, absence and the mystery of what remains after human presence fades. Alongside conceptual practice, I have developed technical skills in textile processes, combining traditional and digital methods. To continue expanding my practice within contemporary textiles, developing work that is research-led, materially experimental and suited to both exhibition contexts and commercial use.
