I am Kiran Moorkath, an MA Graphic Communication student from Kerala, India, currently based in Nottingham. My practice sits between branding and visual identity, with a strong interest in sport, culture and how design systems can carry meaning across different platforms.
Before my MA, I worked as a graphic designer on branding and campaign visuals for sports and entertainment clients. During the course, my work has become more research-led, exploring how cultural references, modular forms, typography and visual systems can create identities that feel both specific and flexible. My major project investigates how a speculative Olympic identity can represent India’s cultural diversity through a system of fragments, patterns and graphic assets.
After the course, I hope to work within a branding or sports-focused design studio, developing visual identities that are conceptually strong and culturally aware.
