I am an MA Fashion Design student at Nottingham Trent University, originally from Pakistan and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My work explores identity, culture, and memory through fashion, creating garments that tell stories shaped by personal experience and contrasting worlds.
My final collection, ""Urban Oasis vs Nostalgia of the Sahara', examines the relationship between Saudi Arabia's rapidly evolving urban landscape and its deep-rooted desert heritage. Inspired by my experience of growing up between cultures, the project reflects themes of diaspora identity, belonging, and the balance between tradition and modernity. Through draping, textile experimentation, and contemporary modest fashion, I translate these contrasts into garments that embody both movement and structure, nostalgia and progress.
