Hi, I’m Jack! I’m a 3rd year BA (Hons) Graphic Design student at Nottingham Trent University. I’m interested in marketing and advertising, specifically packaging and poster design, and have experimented in motion and typography design. I am skilled with the Adobe Creative Cloud, and have been quick to pick up interactive software like After Effects and Figma. I particularly enjoy the creative process of designing a brand identity from the ground up, and developing a cohesive visual tone of voice that relies on a distinctive personality and target audience. My campaign project Brickwall, for example, takes the idiom of “talking to a brick wall” and turns it into a multimedia mental health initiative that encourages relaying problems to anonymous strangers, identified with personalised graphic cards. I’ve also gained experience as a freelance designer for social media and poster graphics, both local and remote, and have achieved 2nd place in a book cover competition set by Profile Books.
