I have 9 years of fashion knitwear design experience across Hong Kong, London, and New York, working with brands from high street to catwalk. I began my MSc to expand my technical expertise by critically reflecting on existing industry frameworks.
My practice challenges the limitations of the linear fashion model, shifting towards performance-driven, user-centred design and the development of high-quality, functional products.
Working at the intersection of knitwear and performance, I explore the technical development of weft flat-bed knitted fabrics for sportswear applications. Through iterative material testing, I investigate how fibre composition and stitch structure influence functionality. Integrating material, technology, and experimental research, I am repositioning knitwear as both an engineering tool and a design medium, capable of supporting more sustainable, performance-led approaches to sportswear design.
