Isabella Cancemi

I am an MA Fashion student with a focus on womenswear. My creative practice has been centred around freedom in expressing identity, around the use of fashion in queer spaces, and around clothing being a reflection on who you are. This project is about exploring hyperfemininity and how fashion can be used as a language within communities. I have drawn from personal experiences and looked back at queer icons such as Marsha P. Johnson for this project and pushed this into the modern fashion world. After my MA, I would like to continue exploring social themes in fashion.
