Emily Lovett

I am an MA Animation student who is specialising in stop motion character animation. I also enjoy character design, illustration and fabrication, usually making my armatures out of plasticine and felt. My short film Ice Cream which I am making at NTU is a stop motion mockumentary about a group of aliens being interviewed on what their favourite ice cream flavours would be. I have also worked on a group 2D hand drawn animated film at NTU called Rob the Rebel, which was made in collaboration with Nottingham University and the BBC Orchestra. Previously, at my BA Animation which I did at UWE in Bristol, I created the stop motion action-comedy Starry Fight. I am also an alumnus of the BFI Film Academy and have also done a stop motion BFI residential course, where I worked on a group stop motion mockumentary called Ghost House. In the future I hope to become a professional stop motion character animator, working with many different people and companies to bring stories to life.
