Edith Brown

Driven by visual culture, fashion, and identity, my practice works at the intersection of multimedia and anthropology. My passion is rooted in communication and the revival of analogue media, using research-led and multi-disciplinary creative processes to deepen social and cultural awareness. I’m particularly interested in translating contemporary cultural narratives into tactile, concept-led outcomes. Combining art direction and visual curation to create considered, immersive storytelling. My recent project embodies this approach. Collaborating with Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, I investigated modern maximalism as a lens for excess and self-expression today, uncovering consumer insights that question contemporary visual culture and grounding it in the historical significance of circus and performance. With a focus on sustainability and wider social impact, I use publication design and graphic communication to shift narratives, carrying this approach into my professional practice.
