My work combines elements of paper sculpture and traditional watercolour illustration; as a paper person, my work explores the different ways that paper can conjure up new experiences through colour, texture and it’s use in both 2D and 3D creations. I am heavily inspired by nature and magic, so my work aims to capture whimsical stories, strange contradictions and a bit of magic that exists out in the real world – plants growing in strange urban places, the timelessness of how the giant meets the miniature in our favourite fairy stories and the simple beauty of natural forms come together in my practice.
