I am a BA (Hons) Textile Design graduate specialising in embroidery. My final collection Memories in Bloom is inspired by nature's nostalgia, driven by my interests in hand embroidery, beading, digital print and fabric manipulation. Memories in Bloom combines an English country cottage design with a modern twist, with lively and tactile soft furnishings and wallpapers for a high-level market. Drawing inspiration from my childhood garden and walks along the countryside, it aims to evoke these serene environments in an indoor setting. My design philosophy prioritises timeless and tactile pieces that bring comfort through nostalgia. I won first place in the Sainsbury's live brief competition, which gave me a better knowledge of how I can push slow craft processes in a fast-paced industry, something I am excited to experiment with as my textiles career progresses. My future goal is to develop my skills as an embroidery designer in the interior design industry.
