Driven by a love of colour, shape, and mark-making, my graduate collection explores the relationship between playful abstraction, structured design, and fun illustrations. Inspired by early years learning, fun, and Bauhaus principles, this collection, Hand-me-downs, aims to create bold and expressive prints that celebrate movement, rhythm, and spontaneity.
My work embraces a hands-on approach, experimenting with scale, layering, and mark-making to create engaging prints. I am particularly interested in how simple shapes and gestural marks can evoke emotion, energy, and interaction. Alongside my practice, I was interviewed on Notts TV and featured in Eye on Display, discussing sustainability and digital printing. These experiences have deepened my understanding of innovative printing methods, and I am eager to push my digital skills further. Exploring both traditional and digital techniques has strengthened my creative approach and given me the confidence to step into the industry.
