My name is Evie, and I have spent the last three years experimenting, exploring, and challenging myself as student of the BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction course at Nottingham Trent University. My university experience has opened me up to a wide variety of new techniques and materials which have helped me in pursuing projects that previously would have intimidated me. Projects such as breaking down a finished garment, I tackled very successfully even though it can be a risky process. Additionally, I have become well equipped to approach more structurally demanding projects including my final project of creating a 2-meter-tall boar puppet. This final project has helped me to consolidate my excitement around puppetry, both on screen and on stage, and my desire to pursue puppetry. I would like to further my knowledge by exploring the world of animatronics.
