I am Danielle, a passionate designer who travelled from Northern Ireland to Nottingham to learn film and TV design. I have found a joy in all skills my course teaches, but I particularly enjoy creating technical drawings and white card models. My design process quickly goes from research, mood boards and rough sketches straight to the drawing board or Vectorworks where I can play about with my design while thinking in a three-dimensional way. I have a love for period pieces; my first major project was Circe set in Ancient Greece and second major project was set in 1920s Cornwall, A Sky Painted Gold. Getting lost in period research helps me explore design ideas and a time different to our own, making the projects instantly exciting and fantastical. This aided in morphing my projects into fantastical and innovative set designs. I am eager to further expand my drafting and model-making skills, as well as graphic design, by working alongside other talented people in the art industry.
