From a young age I had always been amazed by the sets and locations in some of my favourite films, it wasn't until I was older that I realised it was all the work of a Production Designer, learning this I knew straight away this was the profession I wanted to pursue. Coming onto this course from a 3D Design background I already had experience with Technical Drawing and 3D Modelling, but this course definitely expanded my knowledge and skills in these areas, as well as introducing me entirely to concept art and prop making. Props specifically is something that really interests me and was something I was able to work on professionally as a prop maker for some time. Leaving University I look forward to using all the skills I have developed and learnt in the professional world.
