I am an Egyptian fine artist born and raised in Dubai, UAE. My art ranges across different mediums from paintings, photography, sculpture and found objects. My purpose in choosing subject matters that are often overlooked, bringing them into the status of art. I have always been interested in creative works, starting conversations through my work and engaging in new possibilities of art where emotions arise. Developing my art, I have begun to embrace cultural aspects of my Arab experiences, such as my work "Bil Hana Wa Shifa" that touches base with the Arab hospitality that features sculpted Arabic desserts presented to feel nostalgic. My most recent series of works "Massage Cards" include a rotary phone and 3 paintings taken inspiration of Dubai's massage cards that have inspired a staged situation that fuels desperation, curiosity and intimacy. Though my future is uncertain, I would like to strive in creative industries where I can be inspired everyday and develop my art practice.
