I am a multi-disciplinary, digital-native and a maximalist who loves to hunt and gather objects that are pink and shiny with cavewomen like instincts. Each object is thoroughly considered, from its shape, its material or its sentimental value. It's material is used as a host for the digital uncanny that follows a concept of e-mortality, that the internet is limbo where everything is forever yet is always rotting. I’m a big fan of practical horror effects, I love to use latex to make things a bit gross alongside the objects adorned in pearls and sparkles, always between the lines of gross and twee. There’s a touch of the theatrical in my work, my mother is a burlesque performer so I would help with set design from time to time, and that is present in the hyper feminine, frivolous nature of my sculptures and the space that they transform. I will be staying in Nottingham after graduation, and I'm excited for local opportunities for residencies and art collectives!
