Jade Clarke
I'm a contemporary mixed-media installation artist from Milton Keynes. I create creepy, colourful artwork to escape my mind and mental health problems. I would describe myself as a storyteller and hopes to raise awareness to taboo topics by sharing my experiences. My work is emotive and purposeful. At Sharnbrook Sixth Form I studied Fine Art, Photography and Sociology. Since studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, I have collaborated to create group shows such as ‘In My Shoes’ that provided an insight into the life of a deaf member of their group and ‘One Pill a Day for Happiness’ which explored mental health during a modern-day crisis. Influenced by tv shows I watched as a child; I create characters and scenes that take a sinister turn. I'm inspired by Andy Sahlstrom ‘Kids Toys, Adult Issues’ a dark outlook on societal issues and comedy horror show ‘Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared’.
