Francis Dixon
Hi, my name is Frankie. I study BA (Hons) Design for Film and Television at Nottingham Trent University. Throughout my studies, I have been challenged, pushed and learnt new skills and explored new pathways when it comes to my practice. I have a keen interest in 3D modelling, 3D printing and its impact on various industries and being a sustainable workflow for the film industry. Throughout the final year of my course, I decided what narratives I would explore and reimagine through the camera lens's scope. in my first major project, I readapted the blockbuster hit '1917' to take place during the Ottoman period in the 1450s. In my second major project, I re-adapted 'WOOL' by Hugh Howey, a dystopian sci-fi book about communities living in missile silos that are unknowingly controlled by the rich. Throughout both projects, I have learnt about myself and have adopted many new traits that have shown me to be very employable in the film industry.
