Marianne Ashberry’s work explores her relationship with the feeling of uncertainty. This stems from her growing fears of not being able to adapt or fit into adulthood. She conveys these the feelings through manipulation of natural forms, taking influence from expressionism, magical realism and fantasy. Marianne enjoys slip-casting, throwing and glazing processes and she works primarily with stoneware clays. Currently working towards finishing her BA in Decorative Arts at NTU, Marianne hopes to pursue a MA in Craft at Manchester Metropolitan University once she graduates in July 2022.
