Manuela Marin Sandoval is a Colombian visual artist, her latest work explores historical images regarding female archetypes and their documental quality, which she appropriates and generates a dialogue between the past and present. Other line of interest in her work experiments with the translation of words to images, in particular personal memories, whilst navigating between moving image and abstract painting. Sandoval is currently based in Nottingham where she studied a Master’s course at Nottingham Trent University.
