Jodie Bennett is a British artist whose practice is primarily crochet based while also creating yarn paintings. She is interested in contemporary craft practices and how they interchange with contemporary art. She was born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and attended New College Pontefract - studying for a BTEC in Photography and Foundation Degree. Recently, Jodie moved to Nottingham to complete her BA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University. During her time at Nottingham Trent University, she has transitioned from a mixed media to craft-based practice using crochet methods to create her pieces.
