I am a designer specialising in woven textiles. My collection, Urban Blend, is inspired by architecture and colour. It primarily focuses on how bold, vibrant colours can work in harmony with architectural shapes and patterns. It takes inspiration from buildings in London, which I have extracted shapes and textures from. To alter perception, I have distorted the buildings using projection to generate abstract designs. To create a current and joyful feel, I have used colour trend predictions that are bright to capture a modern look to the collection. Urban Blend is targeted at high-end domestic interiors. My work achieves this through its quality and features, creating pieces for the longevity. Looking ahead, I would like to utilise my existing knowledge to develop and advance my skills within the interior fabric industry.
