Fliss Walsh-Mangham
As a theatre designer and maker, Fliss is passionate about the world of live performance. Her approach to designing work starts with a tactile, textural foundation that allows for experimentation, often starting big and whittling down. Fliss has worked with Nottingham Playhouse on the prize project, and has loved collaborating with the industry during her time at Nottingham Trent University. She sought out several placements and work experiences over the summer of 2021, working on Nottingham Television Workshop's 'Macbeth', and 'The House on The Edge of Innocence'; and helping create costumes worn by acrobats for 'Jingah Island'. Her final project at Trent concluded with designing and sourcing the costumes for 'Take Care', an opera about care work in the world of dementia, directed by Mervyn Millar. Fliss adores the process of costume design and hopes to do a masters in Textile Design, alongside freelance theatre work.
