Emma Peacock
My name is Emma Peacock, I am a textile designer who specialises in embroidery, but also likes to incorporate print in my design work. At Nottingham Trent University, I had a wonderful experience developing skills and learning a wide range of techniques. My personal handwriting is creating detail and precision in my textiles, using practises such as digital print and embroidery, as well as beading. I find this to be the most effective way to bring my intricate and colourful visual research to life. One of my skills is photography, I like to photograph subjects that are part of my project. This way, I can capture all the detail and characteristics needed through my own eye, this informs my visual research making it unique and personal. I want to work in the textiles industry, my experience at Oasis has shown me that I am fun to work with and personable. I utilise communication to work efficiently within a team and enjoy the challenges of producing high quality work within deadlines.
