Camouflaged impressions is a sustainable collection highlighting the beauty of nature whilst simultaneously portraying fast fashion's negative impacts on the environment. A collection that actively avoids contributing to the significant problems of deforestation, land pollution and water pollution that unsustainable fabrics induce. All the fabrics used in this collection are organic, natural, biodegradable, and undyed beforehand. I experimented with creating natural dyes, which I used to dye my fabrics, natural yarns, wooden beads, and bioplastic sequins. As a result, the handmade bioplastic sequins are natural and biodegradable, minimising the problem of microplastics caused by plastic sequins. A combination of embroidery, knit, crochet and weave complete this collection. The success of this project is a massive achievement for me, and my design identity as the future and importance of sustainable fashion is the area of design I never want to stop exploring and advocating for.
