Ella Burrell
Ella is an enthusiastic theatre designer and maker, who has used her enjoyment of art and theatre, and her interests in history and architecture, to try and create exciting and unique set and costume designs, whilst also considering the practicalities of staging live theatre. During her time on the BA Theatre Design course at Nottingham Trent University, she has developed her skills in technical programmes, such as Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD and Sketchup, and her model making, figure drawing and construction abilities. Her final degree project, in which she was designing and helping to construct and source set and props for a newly devised chamber opera, called ‘Take Care’, being performed at the Djanogly Theatre, at Lakeside Arts, in Nottingham, in April 2022, required her to use a number of these skills. Ella wants to utilise what she has learned in the course to work in designing and assisting designers in theatre, as well as working within arts and exhibition design and management.
