Art has always been something that has interested me, whether it be literature, music, or physical artwork. I have always been keen to develop new artistic hobbies and in the past have learnt to play the flute, and studied literature, and art; enjoying the conversations that this would inspire. For those reasons I studied Costume Design and Making at Nottingham Trent University. Anything fantastical, sci-fi, or magical sparks my imagination, which leads me to my third-year final project at University: Y Mabinogion. Born and raised in North Wales I have always been slightly curious about myths and legends (especially those that originated in Wales) and the Mabinogion has been a chance to explore that through research, design, and making. Over the three years at Nottingham Trent University, I have learnt a range of skills from pattern drafting to prop making to tailoring; and I am hoping to learn plenty more skills in the future, at my new job making latex clothing.
