'Out of the ordinary'- seeing beauty in the mundane- Gathering contextual images of architecture and natural surroundings that are considered 'mundane' and adding colour in ways that brings the image to life which I then used to create experimental art designs within my sketchbook and translated this into my final fabric collection using bold colour combinations and strong lines, which expresses my love for colour and pattern. My collection is all about being in your element and my element is versatility, being comfortable, happy and warm while still being appropriate and stylish for day to day life, so this is why designing for a loungewear collection was perfect for me!
