After shutting the door - leaving for an unknown duration - I hoped, one day, I’d walk back into the room with the blank canvases, and they would’ve given up waiting. They’d escape the creative limbo. Like me, they would just melt into their surroundings and be transformed by the process of nothing happening. I use a playful process of working with materials and spaces to interrupt experiences and prompt reflection. I want us to look at the ‘stuff’ all around us; my work is an invitation to peel back the layers of an experience and to look again. I am inspired by artists such as Gordon Matta-Clark, Rachel Whiteread, and Bethan Huws. It is my ambition is to develop the skills to deliver large, site-specific, architectural projects. I would love to connect and collaborate with anyone who shares my interests.
