Completing this MA for myself has always been about pushing and expanding upon my knowledge of woven textiles: particularly the technical side. As a part time student, the last two years have really enabled me to reach a point of confidence within my practice. I definitely consider myself as a hand weaver, having said this I have loved being able to display my more illustrative work through the use of the Jacquard. My passion for textiles has always come through my use of colour and it is this which allows me to be my most authentic self! Once the MA is completed, I have a month long internship commencing in September at a woven textile design studio named Dash and Miller; after this I am very much open to what opportunities may come my way.
